What Our Volunteers Do

Friendly Visitor

Volunteers usually visit with the care receiver in their home or will take them out for fresh air or a cup of coffee. The purpose is to provide socialization and reduce isolation and loneliness.

In-Home Respite

Volunteers provide 1-3 hours of relief, allowing full time caregivers time to attend support groups, do errands or attend appointments.

Light Housekeeping

Are you elderly and living in your own home? WELLSPRING has qualified workers that have passed a criminal background check that are available to assist you with light chores in your home.

Caregiver Support

WELLSPRING Faith In Action provides education, assistance and support to Family Caregivers. We offer weekly support group to caregivers as well as exercise classes.

Senior Exercise

Join us at one of our locations for senior exercise offered throughout Watonwan County.

Grief Support

Adjusting to loss can be difficult. We have a bi-monthly support group to you along this journey to grief.

WELLSPRING Senior Transportation

WELLSPRING Faith in Action can arrange transportation for both in-town and out-of-town medical and non-medical appointments. We can make arrangements for this during our normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday.

The suggested donation for in-town transportation is $4.00. We reimburse our volunteers .51 a mile, round trip, for out-of-town transportation.

Our drivers are reimbursed for their mileage and any donation that is above that amount would go to WELLSPRING.
